1. How can the presence or absence of natural resources and arable land affect a nation’s economy, regardless of the type of economic system? The presence or absence of natural resources do affect the economy in lots of ways. One way is by making that country very poor because they have nothing to export to get money. but if there is a natural resource that country can trade it, sell it and many other things. That makes that country have more thing and more money.

2. How can life expectancy and literacy rates affect the quality of labor in the economy? The life expectancy and the literacy rate can affect the quality of labor because if there is someone who wants to become a teacher and they don´t know how to read and write, they cannot teach so more and more people become illiterate. I there is someone who works and is like 40 years old, in Chad they are only expected to live until 45 so that person can be a little weak or sick or something so they don´t put that much effort to their work.

3. How can GDP per capita and poverty rates indicate standards of living in each system? The GDP and poverty rate are very important because if there is a country which has a very high GDP and a very low poverty rate like Japan, the people are expected to live a happier and longer life. So they work more and less people are illiterate. Those people should live in nice apartments, houses, town-houses, residences etc... If in one country there is a very low GDP and a very high poverty rate like in Chad the people are not expected to live such a long and happy life. They often live in the streets and they don´t have dinner every night! So they need to steal away somethings from rich people (well, at least richer than them) so the country becomes insecure and that might cause it to run out of money.

4. How can the size of the industrial/service sector and the agriculture employment rate indicate the level of industrialization? The size of industrial service and the sector of agriculture employment rate indicates the level of industrialization because if the agriculture employment is higher that the industrial service it means that the country is not very well developed yet. But if the industrial service is higher than the agriculture employment that means that the country is developing or developed.

5. How can electricity, communication, and transportation facilities indicate the potential for industrial growth? The electricity, communication, and transportation facilities indicate the potential of industrial growth because if there is more electricity, there are more factories and more imports and exports. If there is more communications, the people could all live with a telephone or a cellphone and live all communicated with their loved people who are far away. If there is more transportation there would be more tourists and more money for the country, if there are more airports, ports etc...

6. Considering the lack of natural resources, the labor problems, and the lack of capital and little industrialization of developing countries, how can developing countries develop? The developing countries develop by buying more technology and have expert teachers who can actually teach the students. The should also be more universities, but most of the help is to educate and teach children especially because they are the future.

Conclusion:

Market-oriented and command nations tend to place different priorities on the role of government in the economy, with the government sector generally playing a larger role in command nations. Given their resources, market-oriented and command nations can choose to focus on increased industrialization and expansion into new markets. Developing nations, however, often lack resources necessary for industrialization and must seek aid or investment from industrialized economies in order to grow. With increased globalization, we are becoming more acutely aware of the interdependence of all nations in our world economy.

1. What do most people think globalization is? The people think that globalization is the world becoming a waster of the American Colony.
   

2. What is the real definition of globalization? It means that the developed and whealthy countries spread their culture, food nd other goods aroun the world like Sushi (Japan) Mc Donalds (US) or pizza (Italy).
   

3. How is “Bhangra pop” in India an example of globalization? Because it sounds like Jamaican reggae but with traditional Indian instruments and amplified.
   

4. What is positive or good about globalization? That people around the world get to try different cultures and food.
   

5. What is negative or bad about globalization? That when people buy a brand from another country it makes the other country mere powerful like Japan gets more powerful when we eat sushi or when we buy Sony items.
   

6. What are indigenous people? Indigenous people are people that are native from their particular area and they are not very familiar to the world that we have now.
   

7. What do linguists estimate is happening every two weeks due to globalization? The linguists estimate that every two weeks a language dies (Hawaiian is almost dead).
   

8. How did the images make you feel? The pictures make me feel very sad. When I saw their culture I thought they might like it. I also realized that they were very pour though beacuse they were living in houses with everything made from them. When I saw the Araal I felt very sad because it's not their fault to heve to work very vry hard to eat, even the children. When I saw the Chipaya I felt that they made the right choise somehow to migrate to chile because there they have better conditions. When I saw the Penan culture I fet werid because they looked happy and I also noticed that they have a very good sence of live with their family members.
   

9. What did the photographs teach you about indigenous people and/or globalization? The pictures tought me a lot about the indegenous people. I learned that I should say thanks for all I have. I would not like to work like the Araal kids work. The Araals thouhgt me that they're in danger of extinktion and that they're becoming roman catholic and thay sacryfise cows to drink their blood in a wedding. The Chipaya toght me that if you should moove far away from your house for a better life just do it! The Penean showed me that not all houses are made out of blocks and are hard to carry because thier houses are made out of leaf and they carry it everywhere they go.

10. In your opinion is globalization a good thing or a bad thing? Or some combination of the two? Explain. In my oppinion the globalization is a kind of a good thing and a bad thing. I think that because the globalization is making other countries get stronger. The good thing is that lots of different cultures have spred out around the world. Globalization is making the world become a better place and more developed. But ut is makin gsome countries like Japan get the entire power of the whole world (US, China, Russia, Indonesia, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico are going the same way).

What are the limitations of the UN? The first limitation is that the UN can´t shoot or can´t kill unless the enemy attacks them first. The second limitation is that they cannot save everyone in a country. The third limitation is that they can´t make violence, they need to make peace because they are peacekeepers. The fourth limitation is that the UN can´t force other armies to save everyone. The fifth limitation is that they can´t be on one side, they need to be neutral.

Is it the responsibility of the world to stop genocide? I think it is the responsibility of the world to try to be open-minded. Like for example when I when to the US a black man and a white man killed two men just because they were Latinos and homosexuals, when I saw that I thought I was very unfair because it was their life and it wasn’t anybody´s problem and that was genocide and it should be stopped by the world 

Solution

I think that what should be don is to make a tax of some percent to save money to give all the needed people specially Haiti in order to stop them from living their country to go to the US because they have no place to live because their homes have being destroyed. I think Suriname and the UN will have to contribute to the solution in money by giving the the same amount of money Suriname gave this year but lowing down or elevating up the price depending in the situation and the strength of the season. I think it is needed about $350,000 to help because Suriname is giving $125,00 so the UN should give the same in order to double the possibilities to help those people. That money might be used to make a refugee house for the people who have lost their houses until they repair it and it can also be used to repair.
